This black Gallardo came in for a complete wrap in clear paint protection film.
Black is such a difficult colour to maintain, mainly because it is very difficult to prevent surface scratches and swirl marks.
It makes sense to do a full PPF wrap on an expensive black car. PPF does not only protect the paint from road rash, it is also resistant to swirl marks.
The top coat of our modern PPF is self-healing and surface scratches can easily be removed by applying heat from a common hair dryer, or by parking the car in the hot sun for a short while...
